LAHORE - Shia Ulma Council chief Allama Sajid Naqvi has impressed upon the need of unity among the various school of thoughts in Islam.

Addressing Seerat-un-Nabi Conference here on Friday, he said the sectarianism could be ended by following the teaching of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). Jafria Students Organization organized the sitting which was also addressed by JI secretary general Liaqat Baloch, JUP president Pir Ijaz Hashmi, Shia Ulam Council Punjab president Allama Sibtain Sabzwari and other Islamic scholars.

Sajid Naqvi said the revival of Muthida Majlis-e-Amal was the need of the hour as it would provide an opportunity to unite the different school of thoughts of Islam. He demanded of the government not to limit Rangers only for Karachi operation but it should be engage in all other provinces too. He underlined the need for complete implementation of National Action Plan which he claimed was only being diverted to limit or end Majalis-e-Aza (Shia gatherings).

Pir Ijaz Hashmi asked Sajid Naqvi to play its role for revival of MMA. He said Islam teaches Muslim to remain united. He said there were no differences between Shia and Sunni and both were brothers.

Liaqat Baloch also emphasized the need for unity among Muslims. He said the Jamaat-e-Islami always made efforts to unite the Ummah.
