Departmental action sought against ‘corrupt’ officers

SAHIWAL-The Punjab Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) recommended departmental action against three officers of Sahiwal district government for their alleged involvement in corruption in IT lab project of an elementary school.
According to ACE sources, a citizen namely Usman Afzal filed a complaint to the ACE against three officers of district government including Saqib Ali Ateel, EDO (F&P) Sahiwal, Zulfiqar Rana, EDO (Education) Sahiwal and Zeeshanul Haq, SNA Sahiwal alleging that the officers had allegedly embezzled funds in the IT Lab project for an elementary school by reducing number of computers, altering specifications and installing low quality second hand computers in the lab.
