DG inspects development work in LDA City

LAHORE -  Lahore Development Authority Director General Zahid Akhter Zaman has directed for holding transparent balloting of plots, carved out on available area of LDA City, within next view weeks and invited all stakeholders, especially the purchasers of plot files, at this occasion.

He passed on these directions during a visit to inspect the ongoing development work in the scheme, here Wednesday. The director general expressed his satisfaction over the pace and standard of work being executed at site and directed for further expediting the work for early completion of the task.

Briefing about the development activity in the scheme, Chief Engineer LDA Asrar Saeed Khan told that a sum of Rs 2.0 billion was being spent for provision of basic infrastructure in the scheme during the current fiscal year. He told that construction of a 150 feet wide road to the scheme from Defence Road was currently underway. Sector-wise development work has been started in sector 5 of the scheme at Mouza Sidhar along Defence Road and so far 90 percent of work for construction of internal roads and sewerage system has been completed while construction of water supply network and water tanks will commence very soon. A two kilometers long and 180 feet wide access road to the scheme from Ferozepur Road has already been constructed at a cost of Rs 1.13 billion while the scheme has also been provided link to the newly constructed Kahna Flyover.
