RCB to introduce mobile app for complaints

Rawalpindi-Rawalpindi Cantonment Board plans to introduce mobile application for general public to register complaints about sanitation, water supply, street lights, illegal construction and others. The RCB spokesman Qaiser Mahmood said that preparations had been finalised for introducing the app this week aimed at facilitating the cantonment residents.

He said that the RCB had already computerised property tax and water supply charges’ record. He said the RCB was computerising the data of its employees as well. Out of the total 2,900 employees including contract and regular, data of over 1900 has been computerised while after completion of the task, biometric system would be installed in the office to check attendance of the employees. The system would also help improve performance of the employees, he added.

To a question, he said that the mobile app would help improve, particularly, performance of sanitary inspectors as they would be provided smart phones to send pictures after clearing any area.

A special desk under the supervision of Deputy CEO and Additional CEO would be established in the board office which would monitor the performance of different sections to be linked under the app. Overall supervision would be conducted by CEO Dr Saima Shah, he added.
