While India is doing its best to convert Pakistan into a desert, our politicians are not too far behind. Decision by WAPDA minister to do away with Kalabagh dam was taken in by everyone without any party feeling the need to go to parliament. Our PM reminds me of a parrot which harps the same notes over and over again. His rote? "Parliament is supreme, parliament is supreme, parliament is...". Perhaps he does not even realize what this sentence means. We all know what India intends doing to Pakistan but are our politicians on Indian payroll that they are so diligently following the Indian agenda? What about the Army? Is it also going to sit by and let Pakistan be turned into a desert? It will probably be the cheapest war India ever fought. -AMER AZAM, Pakistan, via e-mail, December 26.
