LAKKI MARWAT - A young man was killed and another was wounded while a former union council nazim and his cousin narrowly escaped in separate bomb explosions on Friday. The first blast took place on 9:40 am near police lines when a mine exploded, an official source told. He said that some miscreants had laid a mine under the ground on the route leading to the police lines apparently to target police vans. He told that the device went off with a big bang when two youths reportedly hit it while passing there, he told. The blast inflicted serious wounds to one Faizullah (23) and another Farooq Khan, residents of Salarkhel village, he maintained, saying that the injured persons were shifted to Lakki city hospital where one of them Faizullah was pronounced dead. He said Lakki-Mianwali road remained closed for some time after the blast as local authorities called out personnel of bomb disposal squad from Bannu to clear the area. Investigators also collected evidences from the site of explosion. Just two hours after the first blast the second explosion shattered the urban locality at 11:40 am.
