LAHORE A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between Turkey and Punjab Government to construct 2120 modern houses in flood affected districts. A ceremony was held in this regard at committee room of Board of Revenue Department. Mr Caglar Horoz coordinator of TOKI Housing Development Administration of Turkey and Director General Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) Khalid Sher Dil signed the Memorandum of Understanding. Relief Commissioner Punjab Akh-laq Ahmad Tarar and nine-member delegation of Tu-rkey were also present. According to Memorandum of Understanding, 2120 housing units would be constructed in Muzaffargarh and Rajanpur districts. These housing units would be constructed at new locations in Mauza Rakh Khanpur in tehsil and district Muzaffargarh, and in Mauza Rakh Fazilpur, tehsil and district Rajanpur and in Rakh Azmatwala tehsil Jampur district Rajanpur. On this occasion Khalid Sher Dil said that the reconstruction activities in flood affected areas have been accelerated and Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif is personally monitoring the work. He said that Turkey has always helped on the time of trail. He said that two rooms, kitchen, bathroom, courtyard and other facilities would be provided in these modern housing units.
