Azam shines in QAT match

KARACHI - Ali Asad slammed a fighting half century as Quetta, Karachi Blues match drawn in the 4-day Quaid-e-Azam Cricket Trophy at NBP Sports Complex ground on Monday.
Azam took five wickets during the match. Quetta were 127/3 in their second innings when match was called off early after set 275 runs for victory. Ali Asad hit 10 fours in his 63 runs knock.
Earlier, Karachi Blues declared their second innings 14/1. Quetta was dismissed for 242 in their first innings after resuming at overnight score of 212-7. Left arm spinner Azam finished with 5/50.
Karachi Blues 502-9 dec in 150.2 overs (Khurram Manzoor 162, Faisal Iqbal 117, Akbar  Rehman 54, Tanvir Ahmed 51, Jalat Khan 4-125) & 14-1 dec Quetta 242 all out in 115.3 overs (Taimoor Khan 76, Badar Ali 52, Ali Asad 31, Azam Hussain 5-50, Misbah Khan 3-66) & 127-3 in 54 overs (Ali Asad 63, Badar Ali 29, Akbar Rehman 2-50).
