KARACHI (APP) - The Inspector General of Police (IGP), Fayyaz Ahmed Leghari, has directed that there should be tight security on the New Year eve.A police statement issued here on Monday said that the IGP instructed that strict security steps be taken in the province especially in Karachi, Hyderabad and other big cities.He called for deployment of police personnel at the public places including seaside, parks, main thoroughfares, shopping centres, fast food chains, departmental stores.Arrangements be also made for random snap checking, police picketing and patrolling. The IGP directed the SHOs to ensure implementation of security steps in their respective jurisdictions on the New Year eve.
