LAHORE – Two more matches were decided on Monday in the First Women’s Challenge Cup Hockey Tournament which is in progress here at the National Hockey Stadium, Pitch-II.

In the first match of the day, Railways crushed Sindh by 5-0. Railways took the 2-0 lead in the first half with Nimra netting first goal for her team in the 18th minute and captain Hina Kanwal scoring second for her team in the 25th. The second half was also totally dominated by Railways as Saira converted third goal for her team in the 49th minute while captain Hina slammed two more goals to steer Railways to superb 5-0 victory over Sindh.

In the second match of the day, Punjab and Army played a goalless draw. Both the teams tried their best to score a goal in both the halves but all their efforts went in vain as the match ended in a goalless draw.

Today (Tuesday)’s fixtures: First match: Wapda vs Railways at 11:30am and second match: Army vs Sindh at 1pm.
