MARDAN - Relatives of a woman whose infant child had died due to the alleged negligence of lady doctors of Mardan Medical Complex put the dead-body of the infant child in the hospital on the floor in protest and demanded justice.
According to details, Sabarullah, a resident of Ibrahim Khan Killy Charsadda road told the media that on Sunday at midnight he shifted his pregnant wife to Mardan Medical Complex (MMC) for delivery. He added that the staff performing duty at the emergency told him to take her to the gynecology section.
He added that when they reached the gynae section where the lady doctor examined and told them that there is still 3-4 day time left in his wife delivery. He added that later he was going back to his home when labor pain of his wife increased. He added that they shifted his wife to a private hospital located on the way but they told him to take her to Mardan Medical Complex. He added, “We came back to the MMC where the doctors allegedly did not pay attention to my wife.” He added that after 10 mints, the infant baby died. He added that his wife was lying outside labor room on the mercy of Allah. He blamed that due to the negligence of the lady doctors his wife gives birth to a baby outside labor room.
However, Dr Tariq Mehmood, Medical Superintendent Mardan Medical Complex was not available.
Meanwhile, Sharifullah Afridi was elected President and Arshad Ali Afridi as General Sectary of Tanzeem-e-Asateza Landi Kotal chapter here on Sunday.
Earlier, a meeting under the chair of the Tanzeem Khyber Agency President, Wajid Afridi was held that was attended by ex-President Zahid Khan, vice-President Farman Khan and Miras Gul beside numbers of teachers. In a gathering Shariefullah Afridi was unanimously elected as President, Arshad Ali Afridi was elected as GS and Mujahid Shah was assigned the duty of Finance Sectary of Tanzeem-e-Asateza, Landi Kotal. Certain matters related to enhancing teachers’ abilities and better looking after of the students were also discussed. The newly-elected cabinet vowed that they would no stone unturned to work for the welfare of the teachers' community.
