Pakistan Flour Mills Association Punjab Zone raised with immediate effect the rates of 20 kg bag of Atta by Rs 25, citing increased prices of wheat, electricity and diesel. The decision was announced after a meeting of Pakistan Flour Mills Association Punjab Zone by its chairman Habib Leghari on Tuesday. Talking to a private TV channel, he said he informed the Punjab government about wheat being sold in markets at higher rates besides prices of diesel and electricity have also been increased. As a result, he said, the association expressed its inability to continue to sell Atta at the existing rates.
