All Pakistan CNG Association has warned that CNG stations across the country will be shut down unless the government withdraws increase in gas prices. This was decided at a meeting of All Pakistan CNG Association held in Faisalabad on Tuesday with its chairman, Sana-ur-Rehman in the chair. It was informed in the meeting that according to the policy formulated by the government in 1992, the price difference of petrol and CNG will not be more than 50 per cent. The government's decision of levying higher taxes on trade of CNG as well as increasing the rate of gas will have adverse impact on the people associated with CNG business, as this will also result in reduction of CNG use.
