LAHORE - The Pakistan Cricket Board has extended its support of Zimbabwe by renewing the pledge of going ahead of planned Pakistan A tour of the country despite whatever action the ICC plans to take against the beleaguered country. An official of the PCB said that they are committed to their A team tour of Zimbabwe from August 20 as planned, regardless of any sanctions that might be taken next week against the African nation by the ICC. A report in a website also quoted as a PCB official as saying that they will not support any sanction against Zimbabwe. The England and Wales Cricket Board called their 2009 tour of Zimbabwe off on Wednesday under instructions from the British government over the growing violence before Friday's presidential election run-off in Zimbabwe. Cricket South Africa has already suspended all bilateral programmes with its southern African neighbour.
