The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has filed a petition requesting the suspension of the results of two constituencies of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) legislative assembly elections. The PML-N filed the petition on Friday at Azad Kashmir High Court (AKHC) in Muzaffarabad, requesting the court to suspend the election results. The petition was filed by Raja Sadaqat, Advocate, alleging that Pakistan People's Party (PPP) won elections in LA 39, LA 40 and Rawalpindi Valley 4 and 5 by rigging and illegal practices and requested the court for fresh polls in these constituencies. The court was also requested to stop re-polls in LA 37 Valley 2 Lahore, on July 10 and allow the repolling only after preparation of new voters lists. Earlier on Monday, Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) filed a petition in the Sindh High Court (SHC) against the postponement of the elections in Karachi for the Azad Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly. The MQM requested the court to declare the AJK elections illegal on grounds of alleged government interference in the process and the Election Commission's postponement of the polls in Karachi.
