KARACHI- Director General Rangers (DG Rangers) Major General Rizwan Akhtar has formed a special taskforce that will look into the rising extortion and kidnapping cases in Karachi.

A Rangers spokesperson informed that this taskforce was set up on the demand of traders and the public. It will work under the DG Rangers while former officer of CPLC, Najeeb Danawala will be the director of the taskforce.

The special taskforce will have trained squad with modern equipments. It has the ability to surgically operate against extortionists and kidnappers and will begin work from next week.
