The Schools Education Secretary told the meeting that show-cause notices have been served on 180 teachers in Lahore for being absent from election training. The secretary said that Distinct Education Authority has been ordered to take action against those teachers under PEEDA Act.  The meeting was told that lists of alternate teachers have been submitted to Election Commission for conducting training. The meeting was attended by secretaries of different departments including Local Government, Schools Education, Higher Education and officers concerned.–Staff Reporter
