Volunteers launched a seeds ball campaign titled 'Throw and Grow' at Margalla Hills in Islamabad today to promote the culture of planting trees with internationally recognized easy methods in the country, reported Radio Pakistan.
The campaign was launched in collaboration with Islamabad Wildlife Management Board.
Managing Director of a foreign company, Tasaddaq Malik told that they have so far prepared fifteen thousand to twenty thousand seed balls to be sold to the visitors of Margalla Hills at the nominal price".
He said the campaign received encouraging response as a number of people from various walks of life including civil society, media, business and families living near the trails of Margalla Hills participated in the campaign.
Tasaddaq Malik said the campaign is aimed at promoting seeds ball scheme in the country as it is considered to be instrumental for rapid plantation and is being followed in many countries.
