LAHORE Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has announced financial assistance of Rs 0.5 million each for the families of those who were killed in terrorist attacks on worship places of Ahmadis in Lahore, says a handout. An amount of Rs 75,000 will be given to seriously injured while Rs 50,000 will be paid to those who had received minor injuries. Officers asked to fulfil obligations Chairman Public Accounts Committee (PAC-1) Chaudhry Zaheerud Din has asked the officers to fulfil their obligations according to the rules and regulations instead of waiting for instructions in order to eliminate corruption. In a press statement issued here Monday, he said that PAC-1 had issued directions to Lahore Development Authority (LDA) to submit report regarding retrieval of the land owned by LDA within a month.
