QUETTA-Unknown gunmen shot dead two persons, including a religious scholar hailing from Sunni sect in an incident of sectarian killing here in the provincial capital on Monday night. According to police sources, Qari Abdul Matin alongwith his companion Muhammad Usman was coming out of his house at Tughi Road when unidentified armed motorcyclists sprayed a volley of bullets on them and escaped under the cover of darkness. As a result, they received critical wounds and succumbed to their injuries before reaching the hospital. Soon after the incident, personnel of law enforcement agencies rushed to the site and shifted the bodies to Civil Hospital Quetta. According to police, it could be an incident of sectarian killing and investigations were underway in this connection. Meanwhile, Four people were injured in a grenade attack in Gwadar Town of Balochistan on Monday. Official sources said that some unidentified culprits hurled a hand grenade at a house in Maula Bakhsh Ward in Gwadar Town. The grenade went off with a huge explosion. The victims were identified as personnel of law enforcement agencies who were later shifted to hospital.
