On women reserved seats are Dr. Shireen Mizari, Shahzadi Umarzadi Tawana, Munaza Hasan and other fresh lawmakers.
It would also be not out of place to mention here that political dynasties also managed to make way to the parliament as the most of the kith and kin belonging to big dynasties, who were contesting against one another succeeded in keeping their seats within their families.
Several candidates representing famous castes including Khar, Gormani, Jatoi, Kanjo Waranar, Qaisrani, Leghari and others, whose family members have remained in assemblies, will also continue to represent ‘political dynasty’ from Southern Punjab.
These elections were interesting from different aspects as so many close relatives contested against each other in the election but assemblies’ seats in one way or the other remained within their homes.
