Caretaker Prime Minister Justice (retd) Nasir-ul-Mulk was given guard of honour here at the PM House after oath-taking of his office at the President House.

As per media reports, a contingent of guards presented salute to the Caretaker Prime Minister and national anthem was played on the occasion.

Later, Justice (retd) Nasir ul Mulk reviewed the parade and interacted with the senior officials at the PM House.

Earlier today, Nasirul Mulk said holding of transparent elections is his top and foremost priority.

In an informal chat with media persons after his oath taking ceremony, he said the elections will be held on time and he will work according to the mandate given to him. 

Nasirul Mulk said, "Today is my first day at job and I am starting work right away".

To a question, he said the size of federal cabinet would be small.

The caretaker PM also expressed good wishes for his predecessor Shahid Khaqan Abbasi.
