Kazmis bail extended till 14th

RAWALPINDI - Special Judge Central, Sohail Nasir, on Monday extended till March 14 the interim bail of former federal minister for Religious Affairs Hamid Saeed Kazmi in Haj scam. The judge also ordered the Federal Investigation Authority (FIA) to produce the complete record of the case on the next date of proceeding. FIA informed the court that the interim challan of the case had been prepared and would be submitted in the court on the next hearing. Advocate Khalid Hashmi appeared before the court on behalf of former federal minister Hamid Saeed Kazmi and informed the court that neither the FIA had completed its investigations nor it reached on any logical conclusion. Therefore, his client could not be arrested. Earlier, the same court had accepted his bail before arrest against the surety bonds worth Rs 100,000 while Hamid Saeed Kazmi was on protective bail until February 21 in the Haj corruption case, as the Islamabad High Court had refused to grant pre-arrest bail to him.
