LAHORE PML-N MNA and accused of National Police Foundation (NPF) scam Anjum Aqeel Khan on Monday has agreed voluntarily to surrender property of worth Rs 5.8 billion before the Federal Investigation Agency, said a senior FIA officer. While Additional Director General FIA Zafar Qureshi issued questionnaires to the four other accused of NPF including former Managing Director NPF, and former IG Police Iftikhar Ahmad, Ex Director Housing NPF, DIG Laique Ahmad, Additional Director NPF, Sheikh Abdul Hanan and Additional Director NPF, Khuda Bux on their alleged involvement in NPF case. All the above said accused were summoned in FIA office on Monday and their statements were recorded by FIA investigation team. Former IG Police Iftikahr Ahmad a close relative of Zafar Qureshi had to pass through tough investigation process of five to six hours, said a deputy director of FIA seeking anonymity. It is worth mentioning here that the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) had also launched an inquiry against the PML-N legislator Anjum Aqeel Khan on his alleged involvement in Rs 6 billion land scam in the NPF, officials said.
