Nawaz readies workers for long march

LAHORE - Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) chief Mian Nawaz Sharif has said that his party can hold another long march if need be. Addressing party workers from Sukkur and Hyderabad divisions here on Monday, he said that President Asif Ali Zardari had given Guard of Honour to Pervez Musharraf, the dictator who dishonored the constitution, sacked judges and created numerous problems for the country. He said that Musharraf should have been tried in court, but he was given a safe exit by Zardari. Honourable nations do not beg from others but our government is depending on foreign aid instead of using our own natural resources, Nawaz said, adding that there had been no need of the Kerry-Lugar Bill for US aid had economic conditions of Pakistan been improved and the internal situation given proper attention. He said that corruption of billions of rupees is being done in key departments of the government every year and he had given the 10-point agenda to the government for ending corruption from the country but the government did not implement it. He said the economic condition of the country could be improved if the government implements the 10-point agenda. The PML-N leader said that it was a historical achievement that the judiciary was restored with the power of the common people and another long march with the help of revolutionary youths would be launched in the country for eliminating corruption and other problems.
