MULTAN - The Punjab Government is going to award laptops to 323 PhD and MPhil supervisors of Bahauddin Zakariya University under Chief Minister’s Laptop Scheme. The laptops will be given to the supervisors at a ceremony being held GCU Lahore on Friday (today) and Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif will distribute the laptop among the teachers himself.

BZU VC Dr Kh Alqama has asked the teachers to attend the ceremony and receive laptops with a pledge to promote research and literacy in the society. Meanwhile, the Department of Psychology has set up a society under the banner of Psyco-Social Engineering Community.

 The inaugural session was chaired by VC Dr Kh Alqama. Speaking on the occasion, he stressed upon the students to study Islamic history and gain the knowledge of Quran.

He said that the Muslims were faced with tough challenges and the only way to overcome them was to gain knowledge. HE said that the Muslims could not present a good picture of themselves before the world until they understood Quran.
