LAHORE - President Asif Ali Zardari reached Lahore on Tuesday night from Quetta after a two-day official visit to Iran.

Punjab Governor Makhdoom Ahmad Mehmood, Punjab Minister Ch Abdul Ghafoor, chief secretary and IGP received the president at Lahore Airport from where he headed straight towards Bilawal House in Bahria Town.  President Zardari is expected to stay in Lahore for a week to have meetings with partymen.

A meeting with senior PML-Q leaders and a visit to Bahawalpur is also part of his schedule. This is his second visit to Lahore in a month.  On Friday (today), the president would be the chief guest at founding day function of Aitchison College Lahore. He is also scheduled to chair a meeting of party’s Lahore organisation on Friday.
