ISLAMABAD - Chief of Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain has again been elected as president of the party unopposed on Thursday. Simultaneously, Mushahid Hussain Syed has been re-elected as secretary general of PML-Q unopposed during the intra-party elections.

Intra-party polls are being conducted in various parties since the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) made them mandatory for parties who want to contest upcoming elections. Chaudhry Shujaat has held the post since the establishment of the party. Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi was elected unopposed as president of the Punjab wing of the party on Wednesday.

Moreover, Jaffar Khan Mandokhel, Syed Qasim Shah, Aleem Adil Khan, Haji Naeemullah and Mirza Hussain were elected as the party’s presidents in Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sindh, Fata and Gilgit-Baltistan respectively.

This was announced by the party Secretary General Senator Mushahid Hussain Syed Thursday after party elections in Islamabad.
