Six ‘corrupt, unbridled’ cops booked

OKARA - On the court order, a case has been registered against six police officials including a sub inspector for taking bribe and thrashing family members of a proclaimed offender.
Noor Shah police conducted a raid in the area of Mauza Alawal to arrest a wanted person. On failure, the police allegedly thrashed the family including women and also looted cash from the house. The police took one person into custody and released him after getting gratification of Rs10,000.
The resident Waan Gahir Ki Dakhli Alawal, Ali Sher, was sitting in his brother-in law’s house. Meanwhile, Sub-Inspector Ghulam Abbas, an ASI, and three constables Manzoor Ahmad Shah etc stormed into the house. Having not found Zohra in the house, the police officials flared up and started beating up Ali Sher and his sister. Thereafter, the police team barged into the house of his cousin Khyzer Hayat.
From there, they lifted Khazer Hayat, Ali Sher’s brother Falak Sher and took them to the outhouse of Rai Javed and released them after taking bribe.
On the orders of Additional and Sessions Judge Malik Iqbal, the police registered the case Under Article 155/D Police Order 2002 against the cops.
