LAHORE - India is aiding and abetting terror activities on Pakistani soil and the Occupied Kashmir could be a free land at the moment if the Kargil war had continued till achieving its logical goal, leaders of political and religious parties remarked while addressing the book launch ceremony of columnist Asadullah Ghalib at a local hotel on Saturday.

Jamat ud Dawa chief Hafiz Muhammad Saeed, while addressing the ceremony, said that the political and military leadership was not on the same page with regard to Kargil war, as the Held Kashmir was a free land at this moment if that war continued till achieving its logical target. “New Delhi would never takes up sincere dialogue with Islamabad whether the same would be carried out through back channel dialogue or open talks,” he commented.

He added that Kashmir still could be freed from Indian occupation if Prime Minister and Army Chief shared the same sentiments concerning the resolution of the issue. Speaking on the occasion, PML-Zia head Ijazul Haq said that India was aiding and abetting terrorism in Balochistan and other provinces and stressed upon the ruling party to take up the issue in the comity of nations to expose the real face of Indian administration.

PTI senior leader Chaudhary Sarwar said that entire nation was united against the war on terror, while the attack on Army Public School was an attack on Pakistan.

Former Punjab governor Lt General (r) Khalid Maqbool said that Islamabad could initiate equality based dialogue with New Delhi, provided the former would not accept any condition of the latter before the dialogue starts.

Senior journalists Zia Shahid, Mujeebur Rehman Shami and writer Asadullah Ghalib also spoke on the occasion.
