ISLAMABAD - Pakistan has dispatched two C-130 aircrafts carrying 24 tons of humanitarian relief goods for avalanche’s affectees in Afghanistan on Saturday.

Pakistan Army as per its traditional support extended prompt response with provision of tents, medicines, stoves and food items and coordination support to facilitate a time-bound response while PAF’s C-130 aircrafts were provided on short notice. The avalanche in North East Afghanistan following heavy snow hit small mountainous province Panjshir in North of Kabul on February 26, 2015 caused wide spread disaster.

Pakistani government has extended humanitarian relief assistance for the avalanche affectees as a gesture of solidarity with the Afghan brethren.

The relief consignment comprised non food items, including tents, blankets, chaddars, stoves, medicines, daryyan as well as food items, including water bottles and ration for the affected families.
