Rawalpindi - The lawyer Sheikh Salman has been elected as President Lahore High Court Bar Association (LHCBA) Rawalpindi Bench for the year 2015, according to elections results announced here on Saturday.  Sheikh Salman bagged 935 votes for winning the election while his opponent Sardar Razziq Advocate could clinch 825 votes. Similarly, Faisal Butt advocate was elected as Secretary General of LHCBA with 1146 votes by thrashing his three opponents Riaz Satti (220), Malik Waheed (278) and Zaki Qureshi (93) votes.

The lawyer Raja Nasir has been elected as President District Bar Association (DBA) for the year 2014, according to the elections results announced here on Saturday.

Manzoor Mughal Advocate won the slot of Senior Vice President with 1195 votes by beating his opponent Arshad Janjua who could get only 525 votes in the elections. Qazi Afzaal Advocate clutched the seat of Vice President by obtaining 786 votes whereas his opponents Ahmed Saeed Hyder and Tariq Hussain could get 505 and 440 votes respectively.

According to Chairman Election Board of LHCBA, a total of 1761 votes have been balloted by the lawyers for electing their representatives for the year of 2015.
