Punjab Minister for Cooperatives Malik Muhammad Iqbal Channar has said that no government can tackle terrorism alone and entire society will have to step forward and play role for the elimination of the menace from the country.

Addressing the participants of a balloting ceremony organised by WAPDA Employees Cooperatives Housing Society here on Saturday, he added that the terrorists were neither humans nor Muslims. He said that the civil society needed to strive for the promotion of elements like literacy, tolerance and patience in the society for maintaining peace. He stressed upon the nation to shun all differences and unite under one flag. He said that the Pak Army was fighting against terrorists on borders and inside the country while the civilian government strived hard under the leadership of Prime Minister Mian Nawaz Sharif and CM Punjab Mian Shahbaz Sharif for the promotion of peace and education in the country. He said that the recently discovered copper, iron and gold reservoirs were guarantee to country’s bright future as they would change the fate of this nation.

He declared that the fourth phase of WAPDA Town Multan would be established in Bahawalpur, adding that with state-of-the-art facilities the town had become the best residential society in the country. He said that allotment of plots to the heirs of the martyred WAPDA workers was a laudable act and recognition of their sacrifices.

Secretary of the WAPDA Housing Society Saeed Ahmad Khan said on this occasion that the phase-1 & 11 were established on 523 acres of land while the phase-111 would be set up on Multan-Lahore Road. He said that the allotments for WAPDA workers had been done.
