BEIJING:– China’s state-owned Harbin Electric Corporation has said it has signed a contract with Pakistan Siddiq Sons Energy to build a coal-fired power plant . The new power station, with installed capacity of 350 MW, will be located near the Bin Qasim port in Karachi, Harbin Electric said in a statement on Monday. It said the construction would start in July and the plant would be completed in 31 months. Harbin Electric has built around 30 percent of Pakistan’s power stations. It is China’s largest exporter of power units.–INP
