Islamabad - Khursheed Hussain son of Rashid Ahmed Khan approached Margalla police station complaining that unknown gunmen opened indiscriminate firing on his car near Fatima Jinnah Park on Thursday last (February 18) but the police are yet to formally register a case and investigate the matter.
In his application filed with the police, he said he was escorting his friend after attending a funeral prayer ceremony in G-10/3 sector of the capital, adding as he was crossing Fatima Jinnah Park, gunmen in a car opened fire at his vehicle. The windscreen of his car was smashed as a result of the firing; however, he remained unhurt. He told police that a similar incident had happened with him back in July 2013, adding he had no personal enmity with anybody in his hometown or in Islamabad.
He mentioned that his brother Aftab Hussain too had received threats from unknown persons that forced him to quit his job in a bank. The police have registered a report with no progress in the case yet.
