Work on various developmental projects worth Rs426 million have been in progress and will be completed within the stipulated time.
NA Standing Committee Chairman and MNA Chaudhry Asadur Rehman stated at a press briefing after the meeting with various delegations at his residence here the other day.
He said that the government is providing funds for health, education, water, sewage and roads construction and repair in the district.
He claimed that The Punjab government is expanding Rescue 1122 service to 26 districts of the province. Claiming that rescue service for Kamalia was added by the Punjab Chief Minister through his personal efforts.
Similarly, sewage projects worth Rs360 million, water supply worth Rs426 million and repairs 507 kilometers road are included in the mega project", he pointed out.
He said that under the Khadam-e-Punjab Dehi Road Programme dilapidated roads awaiting repair and reconstruction for the last several decades would be repaired. He said that appointment of doctors and other staff in THQ Hospital and establishment of Girls Degree College would be made possible soon.
Meanwhile, PML-N Councilor Tariq Mehmoodul Hassan Shah arranged a dinner in honour of MNA Ch Asadur Rehman. Councilors and dignitaries of the area Candidate Chairman Municipality Rai Ateequr Rehman, Chairman Union Council Murtaza Khan Kharal, Councilor Saeed Ullah Seen, Sheikh Sultan, Zikriya Rehmani, other councilors attended the dinner.
Govt committed to public uplift
The government is committed to the socioeconomic uplift of people of the tehsil and attaches great importance to speedy completion of all developmental projects in the area.
MPA and Parliamentary Secretary on Revenue Nazia Raheel stated to the media after a meeting with DCO and DPO Toba Tek Singh here the other day. She said that development work would continue without any discrimination across the tehsil. However, the institutions must play their role to improve quality of work and ensure its timely completion.
She claimed that after establishment of Rescue 1122 in Kamalia, people would be provided immediate aid and relief in case of accidents. Nazia Raheel disclosed that the district administration has agreed to provide 2 kanal lands of old city police station for the building of Rescue 112 and construction work would be started soon.
The MPA pointed out that the establishment of Rescue 1122 in Kamalia would help in saving lives which had affected in deadly accidents in the recent past. She further said that Rs420 million are being spent on water supply project in Kamalia.
The MPA said that she along with the Toba DCO would personally inspect the development work on February 29 and the CM's inspection team might be called if needed.
