The Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) marketing companies on Tuesday reduced the prices of LPG by Rs6 per kilogramme (kg).

The companies took decision following the reduction of prices in the international market and that the Ogra ensured the implementation on new prices, said the Chairman of LPG Distributor Association (LPGDA) Pakistan Irfan Khokar.

A reduction of $58 per tonne in price of international market trimmed down the price from $817 to $759 per tonne. There would be reduction of Rs72 in domestic cylinder while Rs272 would be trimmed down in the price of commercial cylinder after the imposition of this cut.

The new price of LPG in Gilgit, FATA, Muzaffarabad, Bagh, Naran, Kaghan and Peshawar would be Rs110/kg. In Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Muree, Attock, Mirpur, Jehlum, Bahawalpur, Rahimyar Khan and Multan the price of LPG would be Rs105 per kg and in Lahore, Faisalabad, Gujranwala, Sialkot, Gujrat price would be Rs100/kg. The LPG would be available in Karachi at Rs95 per kg.
