A moderate earthquake measuring 5.7 on the Richter scale jolted several parts of Punjab, Kashmir and Khyber Pakhutnkhwa on Wednesday.

The epicenter of the quake was centered in Eastern Kashmir.

According to reports, quake tremors were felt in Islamabad, Lahore, Peashawar, Rawalpindi, Jehlum, Murree, Faisalabad and several other cities. People rushed out of their houses onto streets and started reciting Quranic verses out of fear.
