37 players named from countrywide trials

LAHORE - The Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) has announced the names of 37 players picked up from the countrywide trials held to identify fresh hockey talent. The PHF spokesman said here on Wednesday that the open trials were organised from April 22-29 across the country. National selection committee headed by Islahuddin Siddiqui, along with selectors Arshad Ali Ch, Ayaz Mahmood, Khalid Bashir and Musaddiq Hussain, witnessed and observed trials in the presence of Shahnaz Sheikh (manager/ head coach national team). The training camp of national senior probables preparing for participation in the 17th Asian Games – Incheon/South Korea from September 19 to October 4 will be established at Naseer Bunda Hockey Stadium Islamabad on May 4, the PHF spokesman concluded.–Staff Reporter
