ISLAMABAD - Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Thursday chaired the meeting of high-powered selection board which promoted 18 officers belonging to nine service groups to BS-22.
According to sources, the board promoted six officers of Pakistan Administrative Services, two officers from Police Services of Pakistan, four officers from Pakistan Accounts and Audit group, four Inland Revenue Services of Pakistan, one officer from Information Group, one from Postal Group, one from Military Lands and Containment group and one from Customs Services of Pakistan.
The meeting was held in the evening and the Establishment Division did not issue the notification of the promotions.
Secretary Establishment Division Nadeem Hassan Asif, Secretary Cabinet Raja Hassan Abbas and Secretary to PM Javeed Aslam also attended the meeting.
The sources in PM House informed The Nation that the Establishment Division had prepared the list of 32 officers of grade 21 of different service groups. But the selection board promoted only 18 out of them.
The meeting of this board was scheduled for April 29, but it could not be held due to the PM’s UK visit.  
The last meeting of the selection board was held in January and it had promoted the eight babus to grade 22.
