LAHORE - A father of three took his own life by shooting in the head at his house in Shadbagh, police said on Thursday.
Javed, a shopkeeper in Bhagatpura, exchanged harsh words with his family members over a domestic issue before committing suicide.
The family told the police that Javed went to his bedroom shortly after he argued with his relatives. He took out a pistol and ended his life by shooting himself in the head.
He was lying dead in a pool of blood inside the bedroom as the police reached there to examine the crime scene.
The police handed over the body to the family without autopsy after fulfilling legal formalities.
FOUND DEAD: A 60-year-old man was recovered dead from Bhati Gate police precincts on Thursday. The body was moved to the Mayo Hospital’s morgue for autopsy. Police are yet to ascertain the identity of the deceased.

The Lahore High Court on Thursday issued notice to Station House Officer of Nishter Colony Police in a petition challenging the bail granted to a woman driver involved in crushing three men to death and leaving 11 others injured during her hurried escape from among the angry protestors of Yohannabad on Ferozepur Road.
Hameed Masih filed the petition submitting that the trial court granted bail to Maryam Safdar and did not decide the question of the suspect’s motive behind hurried escape and killing of three persons and leaving many others injured. The petitioner prayed to the court to set aside the decision of the trial court.
After hearing initial arguments, Justice Aalia Neelum of the LHC issued notice to SHO Nishtar Colony and adjourned the hearing till three weeks.
