Rawalpindi - Regional Police Officer (RPO) Wisal Fakhar Sultan Raja on Thursday said that  though a decreased in terrorists activities has been seen owing to Operation Zarb-e-Azb in Wazirstan, yet the threats of terrorist attacks still existing. “The clever and cruel enemies are hiding for time being but they always remain in search of occasions to target mosques, Imambargahs, worships places, market and public places,” he said. He said that police would be put on red alert and should have work with Pakistan Army to defeat the enemies of Pakistan.
RPO expressed these views while issuing comprehensive security plan to protect the devotees in mosques during Friday prayers. RPO Wisal Fakhar Sultan Raja said, “we should change our strategy of running here and there after occurrence of any disaster now and adopt preempt measures to avoid any untoward incident.” He said that police always came on toes after occurrence of crime or incident but this exercise would no more be tolerated.

He also ordered the top police bosses to depute Quick Response Force around the mosques, Imambargahs and other worship places to tackle any terror attempt. “All the security personnel will impart duties till the end of prayers and worships. Parking lots should be made at a good distance from mosques and Imambargahs,” he said.
“Police mobile squads would patrol in all the areas and keep a vigil on suspects,” he said, adding that DSPs and SHOs would themselves monitor the security personnel and would also update the control rooms. RPO also urged police to carry out search operations to purge the region from terrorists and other anti-social elements.
