MIRPUR (AJK)-Ulema and Kashmiri leaders paid rich tributes to Amanullah Khan, an eminent elderly leader of Kashmir freedom struggle who passed away the other day. They said that the Kashmiris acknowledge meritorious services of late Amanullah Khan for the Kashmir cause.

He was founder leader of the Jammu & Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF). The Ulema during sermons in various mosques in the liberated territory offered Fateha and prayed that may Allah Almighty rest the departed soul in eternal peace and grant fortitude to the bereaved family, friends and his admirers to bear the irreparable loss with courage.

In a meeting at the AJK Regional Office of the UK-based Kashmiri human rights outfit - Kashmir Watch International, speakers paid glorious tributes to the departed Kashmiri leader.

Speaking on the occasion, KWI Chairman Mir Sideeque Khawaja, currently on visit to Azad Jammu Kashmir, said that the life-time services of late Khan would always be remembered in the history of the Kashmir freedom movement.

“Amanullah Khan was the great leader of kashmir freedom struggle,” Khawaja said adding that the late leader would always remain alive in the hearts of the People of Jammu & Kashmir State. He said meritorious services to Kashmir cause would always be remembered till the people of Jammu & Kashmir breath their last. He added that great services of the late leader would, indeed, prove to be the beacon for the coming generations.
