Islamabad:  The Foreign Office has said that the proposed sale of F-16 aircrafts by the United States to Pakistan was still under discussion, between the two countries.

While commenting on media reports regarding the cutting of subsidy on sale of the aircrafts by the United States in the wake of alleged meek efforts by Pakistan against terrorists, Foreign Office Spokesman Nafees Zakariya said that coordinated efforts were needed at international level to tackle the menace of terrorism and the responsibility to eliminate terrorism could be placed on one country.

The spokesman said that Pakistan and the US were closely cooperating to fight the menace of terrorism and the provision of F-16 aircrafts to Pakistan will enhance its anti-terrorism capability.
