Former Rawalpindi Corp Commander, Lt. General R Jamshed Gulzar Kayani died here today after about one month of illness and remaining under treatment in coma. Jamshed Gulzar Kayani had held several posts and when former President, Pervez Musharraf had assumed power in 1999, he was Rawalpindi Corp Commander and it was under his supervision all the operation had completed. Following the retirement, he was made the chief of Public Service Commission and it was during this period he had developed some differences with Pervez Musharraf and later resigned. Jamshed Gulzar Kayani had made some startling disclosures relating to Kargil fiasco in the Geo News program. He was also very active in the ex-service men society's activities.
