A man in central China was sentenced to death for causing an explosion that injured 18 people because he was angry over the demolition of an illegal structure he owned, state media said Saturday. Tian Kaiyou lit two cooking gas bottles at the beginning of July and drove them into a local government office in Zhangjiajie in Hunan province, China's official news agency reported. A local court in Changsha, the capital of Hunan, found Tian guilty of the blast, injuring people and jeopardising public security and property.
