The electric supply to the industrial estate of Peshawar is cut off at 4 pm everyday now. With recent financial crisis, rising inflation and reduction in exports, the PPP has stopped the country in its tracks. This they have done despite having vowed to increase production and exports to help create new jobs. I don't know how the PPP government plans to achieve these targets without providing the industrial estates with the basic requirement like electricity. Do they think we are still living in the times of Moghul rulers? They might afford the lavish lifestyle of the Moghuls, all leisure and no work, but the rest of the country doesn't. -SHAHRYAR KHAN BASEER, Peshawar, via e-mail, October 22.
