Instead of finding vague, fake alibis for their failure, and pushing ridiculous demands in the name of 'cultural reasons why Indian movies should be banned, our film industry directors and artists should make a resolve to compete. In reality, there is no cultural difference between Indians and Pakistanis. We not only shared a country for thousands of years but we continue to share our part of this space with people from other religions too. There are Christians, Muslims, Hindus in Pakistan just as there are in India. If we have any cultural differences, they are with the West. So we should ban American movies, English TV channels, videos, jeans, suits and ties, if we must, because they represent the 'alien western culture. -MOINUR REHMAN, Karachi, October 31.
