ISLAMABAD Announcing his partys decision to vote against National Reconciliation Ordinance in the Parliament, President Pakistan Muslim League (Quaid) Ch. Shujaat Hussain Saturday saw some clandestine understanding between Pakistan Peoples Party and Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz) on NRO. Talking to media persons after appearing before the Election Commission of Pakistan in connection with a case moved by PML (Q) like-minded group against party elections, Shujaat charged that PML(N) would facilitate the passage of NRO from Parliament as it was in hand with glove with ruling PPP. Flanked by party leaders Amir Muqam and Wasim Sajjad, Shujaat predicted that PML(N) under the tacit understanding with the government would abstain from voting on NRO in the Parliament and would, thus, facilitate PPP in getting through the much controversial legislation smoothly. To a question, he said that the PML-Q would go against NRO, adding, We will not support NRO in any case. Replying to a question regarding the petition filed against PML-Q elections with Election Commission of Pakistan, Opposition Leader in the Upper House Wasim Sajjad said that Election Commission had no authority to interfere in the internal affairs of any party. He in categorical terms said that party elections were held in a transparent manner and in accordance with party constitution. Answering to a question, he said the opponents had right to take the matter to Supreme Court of Pakistan but advised them to settle the internal affairs of the party within the party. Meanwhile, the PML(Q) like-minded leaders said that they would move the Supreme Court of Pakistan if failed to get relief from the Election Commission of Pakistan. They said that Chaudhry brothers would not be allowed to make Q-League as their family party. Responding to a question, Salim Saifullah said that Chaudhry brothers were only interested in their personal interests, saying the like-minded group of PML-Q would continue its struggle for establishing true democracy within the partys ranks. Responding to a question, he said that Q-League submitted fake certificates in old dates in ECP and demanded inquiry in this regard, adding Chaudhry brothers were fearful. Asked about NRO, the leader of like-minded group of PML-Q said that they would strongly oppose NRO and would vote against it in the Parliament, while MNA Riaz Fatyana was already summoned to explain why he had abstained from voting against NRO in the meeting of NA Standing Committee on Law and Justice.
