LAHORE - Two youths and a 10-year-old boy were crushed to death in different incidents in the City on Sunday. In the first incident, police said a 20-year-old Kashif Gujjar, resident of Sheikhupra and Shahid Ali, resident of Kala Khatai Road in Shahdara had been working in an embroidery factory located near Sagian Bridge since long. They were on their way to homes riding a bike (LEL-5956) on Saturday night when a speeding car hit them from the back as a result of which both of them suffered multiple injuries. An eyewitness said Kashif died on the spot while the rescuers rushed Shahid to a nearby hospital where the doctors pronounced him dead. The driver along with his car however managed to flee the scene. Police registered an FIR against the driver with no arrest so far. In the other incident, a 10-year-old boy was killed and two others suffered multiple injuries when a man learning driving crushed them under his vehicle in Mustafaabad area. The deceased was identified as Noman, son of Shakeel and resident of Haq Bahu Darbar. The condition of two others was told in danger till filing of this report. Police investigators said three minor cousins including Noman, Khizer and Hammad were playing outside their homes located near the said Darbar when a man identified as Ghulam Mustafa on his pick-up car couldnt control the vehicle and crushed them, a police investigator said. During the preliminary investigation the driver confessed that he couldnt control his pick-up, which caused this untoward incident. Police also impounded the vehicle. Further investigation is underway.
